RAM Upgrade for Netgear RN314 NAS to speed it up
The Netgear RN314 NAS comes with 2GB RAM but can take up to 4GB. A few web sites talk about upgrading the RAM to improve Media Server Performance as well as allow more software to be run on it. I decided to give it a try and made sure I bought this, the correct model/speed of RAM the Netgear would accept, and now my NAS box runs quite a bit quicker. Cheap upgrade well worth doing in my opinion. I've used Kingston memory a lot over the years and never had any problems.The Netgear RN314 NAS comes with 2GB RAM but can take up to 4GB. Breath new life into old Macs
I purchased a second hand iMac from an auction for very cheap. Naturally you get what you pay for and I will need to put some TLC into this bad boy. These RAM chips made the old boy run so much faster, giving me a computer I can create media on for a fraction of the cost of buying one new.

I ordered this ram with the mindset that geez it may work it may not work as anyone who has worked with ram sometimes it is hit and miss . Well i read the comments and thought omg this is gunna be a disaster with freight etc .. However the ram arrived in time AND i put it in and it fired straight up perfectly ,no issues . I am very very happy and relieved . It was quality kingston ram at a good price .
