    Ryzen R7 1700

The best AMD has to offer. Can achieve the same results as the other x series by overclocking. Intel fan boys say this cpu can't play games well that is wrong by far. This cpu over clocked can handle anything you throw at it. 16 threads means you'll have the power to do anything and at less than half the price of intels why not? It may be around 10%-15%slower IPC but look at what you get. With 3200mhz ram it can easily match the 7700k performance in games and yes people play games at ultra settings not minimal! This processor is designed for 4k gaming. A production cpu like no other all at 65 watts tdp. The i7 7700k can't touch the multithreaded performance of this ryzen beast. 8 cores 16 threads. Hopefully Intel will learn from this. More cores is what consumers want and having a civil ...

  • Ryzen is reliable and Ryzen Performs!

I've used a Ryzen processor ever day since March 2017. With all due respect to Windows 10, I belive that either AMD Ryzen or Intel processors are fully capable of bringing out the best for the Windows Operating System. Knowing that I can savely and productively run my professional non-linear + DaVinci Resolve Color Grading business on an AMD Ryzen is a dream come true for me. Quite frankly, it took a lot of hard work and a lot of money to find out just how little Intel developed their product line over the past 10 years. ** Not that Intel processors don't work. Not that I'm an expert on when to buy/sell a processor. ** Today, I'm confident that AMD Ryzen cusomters will benefit from incredible performance-to-value for the next 5 - 10 years. I also fully expect AMD to not create marketing ...

  • Coming from a 3570k, this is a dream come true.

I loved me 3570k. It was my baby from 2012 that OC'd pretty well but never gave up on me through multiple PSU burn outs (bad luck) and video card upgrades. But it was time to lay the old dog to rest once I saw AMD coming back to fight Intel and actually make them have to innovate their CPU's again. I can do whatever I want with this processor and then some honestly. Play PLAYERUNKNOWNS Battlegrounds while recording with OBS and watching youtube videos while I have 20+ chrome tabs open? Meh, not even breaking a sweat. It's amazing to see AMD come out of the gate swinging with a processor that runs like a 6900k but costs 1/3. Give AMD a shot people, they're back and better than ever!

  • Great price-performance cpu

I recently upgraded to this cpu from a core i5 3570 and boy does it perform better. With 8 cores and 16 threads, games usually don't even utilize half the performance. Later on, we should see better performance optimizations in game, however, this cpu blows away the competition in virtualization, video editing, and rendering due to it's many cores and threads. It is also easy to overclock to 3.8ghz+ out of the box thanks to the included wraith spire cooler. I keep mine at 3.7 just to be safe, but higher speeds are easily attainable. All in all, great cpu for price-performance. Would defiantpy recommend!

  • Great new speed, even for non-gamers!

I build a new AMD based machine every five years, and waited a little longer to be able to use the new AM4 cpu socket as well as the new Ryzen cpu. One of the big pluses is its ability to handle DDR4 memory, which adds solid speed to graphics functions and screen images both of which are important in my work. The new processor runs really well without being overclocked, which I haven't done, wanting to keep everything running as cool as possible. I did in stall water cooling, just in case, but now I have a system that will be upgrade-able for many years to come.
