Best deal on a replacement for housing that is no longer made
This was the best priced option for replacing my broken original housing which was no longer made. It arrived quickly and was relatively easy to install. The one thing that could be changed to rate 5 stars would be to include some part numbers for replacement hoses and the temp switch & sensor. Since this was not a stock replacement part, I had to improvise one of the hose connections and contact mercruiser tech help to get part numbers for the temp sensor and switch that would fit this replacement part. seems great
well made. hoped it would come w/Tstat. if replacing old style, you will need longer hoses to elbows. Also inlet angle should be straight to fit old style hose from p/s cooler. if using old style (original) inlet hose, you can cut hose to fit, but a little tricky. had to call GLM to get tension specs for poppet ball springs...3/16" thread on each end of nuts.
