Product Information

BattleTanx: Global Assault makes its PlayStation debut with more levels than the earlier Nintendo 64 version. Split-screen multiplayer support is also included, but for two players instead of four. The fast-paced action involves motoring across grid-like environments in one of 13 well-outfitted tanks. Solo players can complete 40 search-and-destroy missions in the campaign mode, while up to two friends can blast each other to scrap metal in seven deathmatch, capture-the-flag, and tag variants. Twenty power-ups are available in total, ranging from cloaking and teleporting devices to plasma bolts and guided missiles. Featured levels take place in futuristic versions of San Francisco, Washington, London, Paris, and Berlin, all of which are home to ruthless, tank-driving gangs.

    Fantastic!

    This game is exactly as i remember it - full of action, a unique story, gameplay that is basically one of a kind (no other game old and new have been able to give a Battletanx-feeling for gameplay) and this copy is worthy! Though the DVD case it came in was pretty choppy, the game had no glitches, ran smoothly and with somewhat minimal scratches on the disc itself. Would recommend! And thank you for the game!

    That One Tank Game You Played as a Kid

    This game was great when I played it at as a kid. Now with more purchasing power, I've been collecting games that fit that description. Battle Tanx: Global Assault was one of them. I bought this game mainly due to pure nostalgia. This game is anything but cutting edge in comparison to modern day tank games, however, Battle Tanx reigns supreme in the fact that it's one of the only good post-apocalyptic tank based games out there. If you're considering purchasing this game, take into consideration it's age and it's demographic. This game was meant for people who enjoyed Twisted Metal and the likes.     Brings back memories

    😭😭😭 I literally cried seeing this game I used to take turns on the Playstation with my grandfather playing this game. He's been gone two years now.... This game was an awesome bonding game. 😊 For its time it was Epic and I miss it very much. The graphics my be outdated now but they joy of playing will never get old.

    BattleTanx: Global Assault Is The Best!

    I love this game especially when you play tank wars and tanks are all over the place, bullets are flying everywhere and you just drop a nuke in middle of the arena and its like.... BOOOOOOM!" It never really gets boring because of all the modes like Story, Deathmatch, and Tank Wars. It doesn't have the best graphics but most playstation 1 titles don't. This game has a pretty good soundtrack and also has cheat codes. The reason I decided to buy this game is because I have a whole collection of 3DO games like every single one of the Army Men games and thought I would add this to the collection. This is probably the best tank game out there right now unless they make a new battletanx for newer systems which will probably never happen because 3DO went out of business but if it did you would ...
