About this product

Product Information

Buffy the Vampire Slayer makes her GameCube debut in a game written by comic book authors and novelists Christopher Golden and Tom Sniegoski. Played from a third-person perspective, the title emphasizes hand-to-hand combat against a variety of vampires and demonic entities. Being the resourceful lass that she is, Buffy can stake her foes using whatever means are at her disposal, from chairs found at the Magic Box to shovels at the local graveyard. The storyline takes place around the time period of the fifth season, which means Spike is now an unofficial member of the Scoobie Gang and Willow is well on her way to becoming a full-fledged witch.<br><br>Things take a turn for the worse when Sunnydale undergoes a temporal shift, thanks to the dabbling of one mischievous Ethan Rayne, causing an instability between time and space. Ethan has awoken the primordial evil known as The First, and now Buffy and the gang must find a way to prevent the world from plunging into chaos. Not only will players fend off werewolves, vampires, and zombies while trying to prevent the next apocalypse, but also villains like Adam and Kakistos. Players will battle through such familiar locales as The Magic Box, Initiative Base, Sunnydale Hospital, and downtown Sunnydale through 12 levels of action.<br><br>Players will experience levels as Buffy, Willow, Xander, Faith, Spike, and even Sid the Dummy, a character first introduced during the television show's first season. Each character possesses distinct abilities and attributes, such as Willow's power to cast spells, as the gang begins the daunting task of cleaning up Sunnydale's tainted streets. Rather than choosing different characters at the beginning of each stage, players will have to follow each level's storyline using whichever character the game requires of them at any given time. <br><br>Chaos Bleeds also includes support for up to four players. Multiplayer game types include Survival, Bunny Catcher, Slayer Challenge, and Domination. Survival is a deathmatch variant, with various pick-ups available that can help or hinder characters. Bunny Catcher is a race to collect as many bunnies as possible, with different colored rabbits worth a varying amount of points. Slayer Challenge has a character summoning vampires and then trying to dust them, with the other players controlling the enemies. Domination, however, has characters vying for control over magical pentagrams.

    Chaos Bleeds for Gamecube

Although it's a fun, challenging game it's not the original. However you do get to play as different characters from the series. Like the original there's multi-universe play. Good graphics, hard levels, but the voices and sometimes child like dialogue are a little of putting. Your killing demons not playing freeze tag. The Willow dialogue is the worst. That being said, definitely worth the money. I'll replay mine!

  • The Best Way to Attack Your Inner Demons...

I absolutely love this game! It's great to play with just enough challenge. The walkthroughs online help as well. Also, when I'm stressed, it's really fun to just kill vampires! It releases a lot of tension. I would say the last level is my least favorite. You have to run around in a gazillion circles which makes it more stressful and slightly less enjoyable. The best levels on the game (for killing vampires) are: Level 1: The Magic Box Level 5: Downtown Sunnydale and if you're up for having a big-bad challenge at the end... Level 10: Sunnydale Mall (GREAT FOR USING MAGIC) Level 11: Sunnydale Zoo Basically, if you're a Buffy fan you'll love it and if you're not, you'll still love it. Just remember to check out the walkthroughs online on Gamespot. They make things a lot less ...

  • Great rare game find

Love this game! Disc is perfectly workable on my old Gamecube. A Buffy fan cult classic, I am so grateful to have a copy. Slipcover was reprinted and low quality (with typos) but the disc itself was flawless.

  • Chaos Bleeds

If you love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you&apos;re definitely going to love playing this game! A great thing about this game is that at the beginning it explains how you do certain moves, open doors, and things like that. Also the voices of the characters are authentic. Spike, Giles, Xander, Tara, Ethan Rayne, and Faith are all voiced by the actual actors. The actresses Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan (Buffy and Willow) were not available to do the voice overs, but the characters in the game are still very very well done, very close to the original actresses, you can barely tell the difference. Two characters that you get to see again is Sid the Dummy and Kakistos. The levels get harder and harder during the game, and sometimes it gets a little tricky to complete one of ...

  • Fun to Play!!

I bought this game because I am a huge fan of BtVS tv show. I'm still upset it went off air! when I found out it was a gamecube game, I bid on it. I don't play many video games, I'm a busy mom. You get to play the various characters - not your choice, they are chosen as the game progresses. it's cool because they each have different abilities. the downfall is that I am stuck on a certain level right now and can't figure out how to get out, very frustrating- therefore I haven't had a chance to play all characters yet. still love it!
