Mmmmmm, computer
Just a proprietary enclosure for HP blades. I bought the enclosure because I found a really great deal on the blades. It works just computy for what I need. I may regret the purchase when trying to expand into some of the new GPU's, as HP only "supports" a few cards... Who knows if the ones I am after are compatible. From my limited experience over the past couple of months, the unit will work off a normal wall socket, albeit, with provisions. One full height computer works at a time from my wall outlet (connected to a 15 amp fuse, and located halfway across the house). I will need to configure a dedicated power supply in order to keep the lights from flickering. Also, the system generates a good bit of heat and sound from through the fans. I've got it hooked into the air ductwork to ... Just a proprietary enclosure for HP blades. I bought the enclosure because I found a really great deal on the blades. I do like HP's ILO software which provides a ready interface for users to control system resources. As the name implies. ILO is natively integrated into the system, so I had to do a little less to put everything together. Overall, for me this enclosure provided a good entry point to get into personal HPC.
