Item arrived earlier than estimate. It was of good price/quality. It works well on Win10 without having to install a driver and can be setup as hotspot. In debian linux, a contemporary driver is available on morrownr's site on github. (git clone and scripted compile/install). It functions well in debian 12 with the 6.1 kernel. Newer kernels will have a builtin driver.

It does work on Linux but the included disc doesn't include the right driver. It's Realtek model RTL88x2bu and I suggest download the zip from github, decompress to its own folder, open that folder in the terminal, type make, then type sudp make install. Unplug and plug back in. I had to plug my router pw back in.

WiFi Adapter is rated 2.4GHz. Provided driver is old and outdated. Even with newer driver, be aware that the adapter will not work with routers such as the Comcast gateway that combines 2.4 and 5Ghz bands, without jumping through hoops. Also note that the tracking number provided is useless and probably bogus. Overall though, the adapter was shipped quickly and as described. Just can not be used in my case since I have Comcast.
