This Seagate hard drive transfers the data from one source to another at the rate of up to 100Mbps using Ultra DMA mode 5. With spindle speed of 5400RPM, the Barracuda ST340015A hard drive ensures fast loading and reading of files.

    System ready clone hard drives are practical.

    The availability of free software to facilitate creating cloned system ready hard drives through a USB port connection makes the use of medium sized hard disks such as this one practical as a system ready backup hard drive. I was pleased as to the cost and performance of this hard disc to create a backup system in case of a system disc failure.

    Seagate Barracuda ST340015A0025TPK (40 GB, DMA/ATA-100

    I have bought used Seagate Barracuda harddrives in the past and haven't had problems with them. Good & dependable harddrives versus other brands I've used. I haven't had to deal with bad sectors or corrupt drives. I'm thoroughly impressed with Seagates quality.

    Excellent older drive for backups

    Nice and fast, pretty reliable, unlike the drives Seagates pumping out now. These drives are from back when Seagate was a respectable name for hard drives. Plus they're pretty cheap because they're older.
