IBM 81Y8295 compatible DAC is an active 10Gbps SFP+ to SFP+ direct attach cable for use in 10GBASE Ethernet. SFP+ active DAC provides 10Gb/s throughput for 1m interconnection with high speed twin-axial copper cable. Standard length options cover from 1 meter to 10 meters. This DAC is fully compliant with SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-CR and SFI standard. The twin-axial copper cable's wire gauge is 30AWG and pre-terminated with MSA compliant 20-pin edge type connectors. MSA memory map are accessible via 2-wire Interface (TWI/I2C). Our active DACs are factory pre-programmed for compatibility, perform identically to original IBM 81Y8295 direct attach cables.
