Fans learn Daniel Craig's character Benoit Blanc has a boyfriend - played by a VERY famous mystery actor - in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Daniel Craig makes a welcome return in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, as Benoit Blanc - the cravat-sporting Southern gentleman detective, whose apparently bumbling behaviour disguises a mind like a steel trap.

The first film gave no hints about Benoit’s private life but this time around we find out a little more about him, including the fact that he has a live-in boyfriend - played by a very famous actor who has yet to be revealed.

Fans will surely hope for the relationship to be fleshed out in a third instalment of the franchise — which is being scripted and is scheduled to be shot next year.

James Bond star Craig is no stranger to the demands of a franchise and was happy to step back into Blanc’s immaculate loafers for the film.

Before shooting the picture in Greece, Craig spent four months working with vocal coach Diego Daniel Pardo on that distinctive Truman Capote drawl.

‘I’d forgotten the accent and didn’t want to do a pastiche,’ he said. ‘I wanted to make it as grounded and as anchored in reality as possible.’

The movie will be in select theaters for a brief window starting on November 23 and start streaming on Netflix on December 23.
