Multi-Function HDMI Switch: The Simplified MFG SW41e is a multi-function HDMI 2.0b (18Gbps) switch that can switch four sources to a display or three sources to a display and supply eARC/ARC to a soundbar or distributed audio system/amplifier. The SW41e can be used in close proximity to your display (TV or projector) with HDMI cables, or at a remote location using the Simplified MFG EXeARC1 (sold separately).

• 4x1 Display Switcher: The SW41e can be utilized as a 4x1 HDMI switcher, allowing you to switch between four HDMI video sources (1-2-3-4 inputs) on one display. Audio will only pass to the display (eARC/ARC does not function).
• 3x1 eARC/ARC Switcher: The SW41e can also be used as a 3x1 HDMI switcher with the HDMI 1 input and HDMI out supporting eARC/ARC. In this setup, you can switch between three video sources (2-3-4 inputs) on one display, while also routing audio from the display and connected video sources to a soundbar or AV receiver connected to the SW41e's HDMI 1 input.
• 3x1 Audio Breakout Switcher: In addition, the SW41e can be used as a 3x1 HDMI switch with audio breakout. With this setup you can switch between three video sources (2-3-4 inputs) on one display, while audio from the three video sources can be output via the SW41e's HDMI input to a soundbar, regardless if the video sources support eARC/ARC or not.

HDMI 2.0b (18Gbps): The four HDM inputs and one HDMI output meet HDMI 2.0b specifications with support for 18Gbps video bandwidth, 4K/60Hz video resolution, HDR (High Dynamic Range), and HDCP 2.2. HDCP 2.2 is short for "High bandwidth Digital Content Protection" and is used for 4K video copyright protection for compatibility with Ultra HD Blu-ray players and 4K Satellite/Cable providers. Its also backward compatible with HDCP 2.0, 2.0a, and 1.4.

HDR: HDR (High Dynamic Range) video reproduces a greater dynamic range of luminosity or brightness levels, creating greater contrast. This increased contrast reveals the subtle nuances of the image, from detailed blacks and shadows to the brightest whites and colors, plus greater depth. The SW41e is compatible with the following HDR (High Dynamic Range) formats - HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision.

• HDR10: HDR10 is an open standard and currently the most popular HDR format on the market. It uses static metadata at the start of a movie to tell the receiver and your TV that the video content is encoded using HDR.
• HDR10+: HDR10+ is a new open standard that leverages dynamic metadata to produce enhanced contrast and colors on an expanded range of televisions. HDR10+ incorporates dynamic metadata that allows the adjustment of brightness levels on a scene-by-scene or even frame-by-frame basis. By applying individualized tone mapping to each scene, HDR10+ delivers an incredible viewing experience. The picture quality offers an enhanced visual experience with more detailed expressions, brighter shadow areas and more accurate color renderings that stay true to the creator's original intent.
• Hybrid-Log Gamma: HLG (Hybrid-Log Gamma) is primarily designed for live video feed and over-the-air broadcasts. It uses no pre-encoded metadata and is backwards compatible with SDR. HLG's native compatibility allows much of today's existing SDR infrastructure to be re-used for HDR in the future.
• Dolby Vision: Unlike HDR 10 which contains static metadata and HLG which uses no metadata, Dolby Vision uses dynamic metadata technology which sets individual color and brightness levels for each and every scene. Dolby works directly with filmmakers at major Hollywood studios to create superior HDR video masters of blockbuster movies.

Audio Management: The HDMI 1 input and HDMI output are compatible with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) and ARC (Audio Return Channel).The Simplified MFG SW41e's HDMI 2.0b inputs and output support Dolby Digital (including Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Atmos); DTS (including DTS-HD High Res, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS:X); as well as multichannel PCM (including 2ch, 5.1ch, and 7.1ch).

• HDMI 1 Input: The HDMI 1 input can be setup to support eARC/ARC in order to output audio to a soundbar or AV receiver from the SW41e's connected source devices and display. .
• HDMI Output: The HDMI output supports eARC/ARC and will be used to transfer audio from your connect display (TV or projector). The Simplified MFG EXeARC1 (sold separately) can be used if the SW41e and your display are positioned far apart.

Control Options: You can manually select between the four HDMI source inputs, or the SW41e can automatically switch and select inputs when it senses a signal. It can also be setup to switch to the last device on if there are more than one device on at a time. LEDs on the front-panel will indicate the input selection and status. The HDMI switch can be controlled from its front-panel or the included IR remote. It also supports HDMI-CEC pass-through.

• Front-Panel: Front-panel controls include manual or auto input selection (1/2/3/4), manual or auto audio setting (2/5.1/7.1ch), and eARC/ARC activation.
• IR Remote: You can use the include wireless IR remote control to manually select an HDM input source (1/2/3/4), manually select the audio setting, (2/5.1/7.1ch), activate auto source switching, active auto audio format, and enable or disable eARC/ARC. The unit's IR receiver is located on the front-panel (there is no external IR receiver).
• HDMI-CEC: HDMI-CEC commands are supported and can be pass-through the SW41e HDMI switch to your HDMI connected devices.

AC Power Adapter: The included AC power adapter plugs into the SW41e HDMI switch and into an AC wall outlet or surge protector/line-conditioner (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).
