On April 27, 1822, Ulysses Grant was born in Point Pleasant, Ohio. He was the eighteenth president of the United States, and served from 1869 to 1877. He was nicknamed "Unconditional Surrender" Grant because he demanded the complete surrender of one fort during the Civil War. Grant set aside many wildlife parks, including Yellowstone National Park. He died on July 23, 1885 in Mount McGregor, New York.
