Natalie Imbruglia has addressed ex-boyfriend David Schwimmer's recent comments about having a "major crush" on Jennifer Aniston during the filming of Friends, around the time the Schwimmer and Imbruglia were dating.

David, who dated Natalie in the 1990s, opened up in Friends: The Reunion about his and Jennifer's feelings for each other during the first season of Friends, which aired in 1995.

Speaking to James Corden, David admitted, "at some point [he and Jennifer] were both crushing hard on each other.

"But it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary and we both respected that."

Jennifer confirmed the crush was "reciprocated", adding, "I remember saying to David 'it's gonna be really such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is gonna be on national television' and sure enough the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop."

Speaking on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, Natalie responded to the suggestion that there could have been "crossover" between her relationship with David and his crush on Jennifer.

When asked about a potential "crossover", by host Kyle Sandilands, Imbruglia said, "I thought that too,” before clarifying, "No, I’m joking."

According to Natalie, she couldn't remember which season of Friends David was filming when they were dating, recalling that it, "was such a long time ago." However, the singer did remember visiting the Friends set during their relationship (via The Independent), saying, "I do remember being on the set and I remember everybody being lovely and really, really nice."

Natalie reassured the hosts that there was no bad blood between her and David, saying "I wasn’t paying attention to whether they were giving each other 'little looks' over my shoulder. I don’t know if that was happening.

"I’m okay with whatever happened back then. It was a long time ago."

Judging from Natalie's measured response, it's all good between the pair.
