Here's What A Hymen ACTUALLY Is, In Case You Read That Mess Involving T.I.

    It's 2019, y'all.

Hello, all. For today's article, you can call me Dr. Ehis because I am here to explain to you what a hymen is.

Earlier today, it was reported that T.I. goes with his daughter to the gynecologist every year to make sure her hymen is still intact.

Now, I am not a doctor, but I am a woman with a vagina who is up to date on her vaginal health, so I'm somewhat of an expert in this particular field.

Aside from that being a horrendous invasion of privacy and an archaic view of a woman's body, the notion that a hymen can "break" IS NOT FRIGGIN' TRUE!

So, since he clearly doesn't know what it is, I'm taking time out of MY precious day to do Tip Harris a service and explain to him what a hymen ACTUALLY IS!

A hymen is a thin membrane that surrounds the opening to the vagina. It can come in many shapes, the most common being a half-moon, but that doesn't mean it's the only one!

The hymen doesn't "break" but rather stretches during sex.

Which brings me to the most important part of this article: NO, YOU CANNOT TELL BY LOOKING AT A HYMEN IF A GIRL HAS HAD SEX!

Do you wanna know when a woman has had sex? Tough nuggets. If they don't tell you, then it's none of your goddamn business.

So, there you go, T.I. Here is your much-needed explainer, since you clearly don't know what a hymen is.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
