Google Street View Car spotted in Williston

One of the world's most recognizable cars has been spotted all over Vermont for the first time in years.

Big cities like Boston and New York generally get re-photographed on an annual basis, but Vermont has largely been ignored. Much of the state hasn't been updated in six years.

On Monday, the Google Street View Subaru was seen by Winooski resident Joshua Ridolfo on the off-ramp of Exit 12 on Interstate 89 in Williston. According to this Reddit thread, the car was also spotted in St. Albans on Saturday and in Stowe on Sunday. Commenters on Facebook mentioned recent sightings in Burlington, Montpelier, Berlin, Rutland, Waterbury and Harwood.

Much of St. Albans hasn't been updated in over six years (June, 2012) and Stowe hasn't been updated in over four years (Aug., 2014).

Parts of Burlington have been photographed as recently as last year, but many roads haven't been street viewed in four years. If you take a digital stroll around Burlington, you'll still see businesses that no longer exist.

While Vermont is not officially listed as a soon-to-be updated area for Street View, it looks like one should be coming soon.
