It was an excellent location to explore the villages in the area including Roussillon. Please note however, that it is not situated in any town, but in a lovely forested area near many beautiful villages.

The old property was, we think, a farmhouse.
The old property was, we think, a farmhouse. There was no a/c. 40 decrees day. Night too hot. Many door & windows wouldn't open for ventilation. Bathroom glass door panel was seriously cracked, as was panel on shower wall. Dangerous. Some elec. points old and loose. No tv. but didn't mind. Host, Christine, couldn't have been more helpful. Good breakfasts. Lovely location. Peaceful and quiet.

Rousillon is a cute little hilltop village - we had a wonderful stroll and dinner and overnight stay at La Maison des Ocres. I would recommend it for an overnight stop but not necessary for a long stop.

A few comments we read indicated some sort of weird vibe from this town, which made us second-guess our decision to visit and stay in the area. But we are so glad we didn't change our plans - we didn't feel that way at all. We loved Roussillon. The shops and the restaurants were great, most with balconies over the cliffs and very good, reasonably priced meals. Plenty to see and do in the area.

Roussillon is a beautiful little old village on a hilltop with magnificent views. There are lots of reasonably priced restaurants. There is a public car park quite near the centre which is not expensive and free on a Sunday.

Very picturesque & clean, with wonderful views of the cliffs & the
surrounding area & the entire town smelled great! Terrific place for
walking (if you like uphill climbs!); not so great for cars (not unexpected) but most car traffic observes safety rules. The Thursday market was full of beautiful, fresh foods as well as lots of things you'd actually like to buy! Perfect spot in Provence!
This lovely studio apartment was located right in the old town of Roussillon. The kitchen was fully equipped and included a dishwasher as well as a washing machine. The apartment had air conditioning and a parking garage underneath. The old town was within easy walking distance with its lovely restaurants and shops. It was an easy stroll to the beautiful Ochre Trail.
The owners were so friendly and accommodating and they explained everything to us.
Staying here made our time in beautiful, relaxing Roussillon very comfortable.
Everything is impeccable, from the service offered by Philippe and Patricia to the rooms which are amazing. From the Bastide, you can drive to all the top attractions in the region in least than 30 minutes. All the family loved la Bastide des Demoiselles and we are looking forward to comeback in our next trip in Provence. Don’t hesitate to ask for the food plate made with local products which served next to the lavender field. A real feast…
What a special treat to stay in this beautifully decorated room above the shop of the artist who owns and decorated it. She was so helpful prior to my stay and also all during the stay, with assistance parking the car in this pedestrian area, suggestions for restaurants, and a wonderful breakfast each morning. This stay was the highlight of our 3 weeks in Southern France. I will return for sure!
A very spacious and comfortable house for the 3 of us, with two bedrooms and a bathroom. Kitchen was good too, with pretty much all that you need. Also very centrally located in the village of Roussillon, with everything a short walk away, and it overlooks one of the ochre cliffs which looks stunning at sunset. I might not stay in Roussillon again, but if I had to, I would stay here.
The breakfast was wonderful. Lovely view on their patio. There was a variety of continental and protein options. Complete with a nice amount of coffee!
Eric and Paola also helped with driving ideas and dining. This was helpful.
The pool was a wonderful bonus! The south of France can get warm and the pool was refreshing after a day of sightseeing.
This was the ideal place for my family and I to stay for three weeks in Sept/Oct. A short walk to the centre of Roussillon, yet quiet enough for us as a family. The hosts were absolutely lovely! The place is just gorgeous and the garden was so peaceful and helpful to have for our dog. The pool was great and so clean. We shall definitely return!!!
Beautiful home in a tiny village. The lovely decorating gave our room an upscale feel. Nice to relax by the pool with a glass of wine. Good breakfast and ample parking. Within a short drive to Roussillon which was one of our favorite places, but it would not be a walkable distance. Hosts spoke some English which was helpful.
Brilliant hosts who went above and beyond to make us comfortable and gave us lots of tips.
The house is full of personality with a beautiful garden. It is surrounded by charming countryside and is easy to reach Roussillon from there. Very easy to park at the house.
Great breakfast with nice choice of music.
This was an absolutely pleasure to stay at this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. If you want to try the best homemade local food - this is the place. We have never tasted anything this good locally in France. :-) also the breakfast was amazing.. We booked massage for my wife and this was also truly amazing.
The hotel is beautiful and charming, and our room very romantic. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the ochre rocks and the tables are nicely spaced out. The situation of the hotel is ideal for walking around Roussillon which we adore.
Beautiful property, amazing location. We didn’t want to leave!! It’s been lovingly restored to a very high level with everything you could need for a holiday plus more. It’s ideally located in the middle of the Luberon national park so nowhere is too far to go.
Great view and location. Clean, spacious room and washroom. Breakfasts were incredible. Staff very professional, friendly and helpful. And the “piece de resistance “ was the outdoor pool which was very refreshing after a day of exploring Roussillon.
The breakfast was very good. The pool and surroundings are beautiful. It's stunning at night with the lighted globes in the trees and on the ground. Loved that the hotel is a ten-minute walk to Rousillon center.
Quiet and clean hotel in the middle of a very picturesque area (Rouissilon). Really yummy breakfast. Swimming pool for the hot days. Staff pleasant to talk to and helpful.
AC works great, friendly staff, swimming pool, breakfast with good fresh juices and marmalades, two pillows, nice new shower - most 4 stars hotels are worse
