A spreading and scrambling annual with tubular flowers. Racemes shorter than their stalks, to 20-flowered. One of the most common fumitories in the Mediterranean region.

Flowers. Mar-June

Flower. Creamy white or pale pink, and tipped with a dark reddish-black, 10 to 15 mm long.

Leaves. Stemmed along the main stalk, segmented, pale or greyish green, flat, wedge shaped with blunt lobes.

Habitat. Rocky places, walls, hedgerows, cultivated ground. We found some in the rocky hills at the west side of Lac St. Cassien.

Fruit. Scarcely keeled, rounded apex, 2.5 mm diam.

Similars.

Common Fumitory: lacks the white in the flower, and raceme is longer than the short stalk.
