Ronaldinho Gaucho has claimed that he’s expecting a big season from Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal.

The Gunners signed the Brazilian from Manchester City for £45 million last month (Sky Sports). He is proving to be a fine addition so far, with impressive performances in each of our first two games in the Premier League.

Jesus will be our main man this season, and Ronaldinho is confident that he’ll deliver the goods.

Ronaldinho says he’s expecting ‘big things’ from Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus

Ronaldinho has been watching Jesus since before he even joined Manchester City. He has always been a big fan of his compatriot, and he has now delivered his verdict on the 25-year-old’s move to Arsenal.

The legendary Brazilian told The Mirror: “When Gabriel joined Manchester City, I said he would go on to be one of the best players in the world. When he was given a chance, he showed what he was capable of – but at Manchester City, he was never shown the love a player of his quality deserves.

“At Arsenal, he has been given the chance to be the focal point, he has been shown the love by the coach and the fans, and already he is repaying that.

“This season I expect big things from him – he will repay the love shown in him by showing he is not just one of the best players in The Premier League but also in Europe.”

Everybody knows Jesus is a hugely talented player. He showed his class for Manchester City last season, and his start to life in North London has been exceptional as well.

After a sensational pre-season, Jesus impressed against Crystal Palace on the opening day, but he couldn’t register a direct goal contribution. That changed when Leicester City came to town last weekend.

The Brazilian scored two and assisted two more in what was a truly spectacular performance on his home league debut. He was unplayable at times and could’ve even scored two more.

Ronaldinho knows a thing or two about scoring goals and if he thinks Jesus is among the best strikers in Europe, we believe him!
