Where did OP go? He was taking this thread pretty personally at first, even sending me a PM yelling at me for ruining his thread by disagreeing with him or whatever.

But it seems to have been 8 months or so since he popped in.

You ok there @M-4matus ?

That's a shame if so, it's a good thread that petty person had to be them over and ruin for the rest. The post you quoted did show me that it wasn't just me that was being trolled by the same person, either.

Anyway to keep with the thread's purpose, I am thinking of getting a BA Hanson 13.9 to P&W a 6315KM-L to instead of the BA Modern 13.7 to a SOLGW Nox to. The Nox is not beneficial to a lefty even when clocked that way because of the lack of a prong being directly underneath to keep the blast from kicking up dirt and debris.

Anyone with personal experience with the BA Hanson in positive or negative light willing to share with me, before I pull the trigger?

I have a 13.9 BA Hanson that I pinned and welded a Surefire 3 prong FH to and it is running very well. Accuracy is on par with most AR15 barrels in the 1.5 to 2 MOA at 100 meters when using bulk 62 gr green tip, plus it comes with a pre-pinned lo pro gas block. I would like to get another for a future build. I also have the 13.7 Modern Series and it's decent, but I prefer the 13.9 Hanson for it's weight and better accuracy potential.

Maybe you can help me out here, BA's site show's the 13.9 Hanson only in mid. But Arm or Ally shows it in carbine for the 13.9, is it a special purchase? Oof, what did I just get by ordering ?

And thank you for the positive review share.

The BA 13.9 Hanson definitely has a mid length gas system, and BA does make a 13.7 Hanson that has a carbine gas system. I'm guessing that Arm or Ally had a small error in their product description, which is not uncommon for any vendor that sells products in high volume. I do know that BA made a 13.7 Hanson barrel in mid length gas, but that was a while ago and was a limited run. This is the SKU from Arm or Ally:  SKU: BABL556037F; and this is the SKU form Ballistic Advantage: BABL556037F.  Both are the same which leaads me to the conclusion that there was a simple typo on the Arm or Ally site. If you ordered the barrel from there, you are most likely to receive the BA Hanson 13.9 inch barrel with a mid length gas system, and at a darn good price as well.

Nice jab at me and then trying to immediately change the subject. So when you say trolling surely you don't mean like the post you just made?

I was asking about op and you're turning it into an attack. I never have to wonder why i put you on ignore. Unfortunately the ignore system doesn't hide quotes.

Eta: he IMd in may of 2021, so his tantrum about me ruining the thread was obviously unwarranted and he was still posting for almost a year afterwards so he wasn't run off by me or anything.

Well that's a relief to hear, thanks. Hopefully you'll be right about that. Got another favorable review from a friend using a 17.7 BA. I should be good then. Going to top off with a 6315KM-L that I had already bought.

I just had to dremel the corner where the hand guard mounts. Otherwise it’s a pressed fit onto the side and the square nut fits perfectly on the inside

Can someone help me pick a light for my build?

10.3 DD MK18
Aimpoint t2
Surefire RC2
Blah blah blah…

Made the mistake of going cheap inforce, and now about to pony up for a surefire.  Sr07 tape switch in the bag, but should I go mini scout pro, or the bigger scout dual fuel?  Looks like most folks choose the mini, but any reason (aside from weight) to not go with the bigger brother?  I’d image it would help with shadow since there is a can on the gun all the time…

What am I missing.

Trying a better new way to have an offset back up sigh for SHTF

@nch209 my suggestion is the Cloud Defensive Rein 2.0 micro. I'm a Modlite fan but the 2.0 so far is as good as the PLHv2. The 1.0 Reins were god awful warmer and not as cool, making it harder for my eyes to see, but the newer replacement 2.0 Reins are a night and day improvement.

This a complete Geissele SBR that I built a couple of years ago. I picked up all the parts on a Black Friday sale and saved! The upper came complete from G. I have a Proof SS 11.5 barrel on the way that I will likely swap into it. Picked up a case of 62gr. Fusion MSR and I'll run some of my 75gr. match loads. SD-E, K16i SM1, Spuhr 1.89, Modlite PLH, H3. I also have a Shaffer scout mount w/qd sling cup on its way to replace the Arisaka. I can either run a SF Warden or my 30cal RC2.

I changed out the heavy T-15 rail with end cap to the 15" m-lok combat rail. I had an m-lok light mount from a previous build I threw on, and I love it. Need to look into either a handstop or stubby vertical grip. This is my go-to rifle.

I have one. It's a G33 with more mag and less FOV. If you value fov, keep the g33. If you want more mag, get the g45. Otherwise they're basically the same.

If you can suffer this style, G33 v G43 v G45 vs AP 3xmag-1

Magnifier Battle - Aimpoint (3xmag-1) vs EOTech (G33/G43/G45)

Thanks. I loved the T-15 rail, but I wanted to try a more slender and lighter m-lok. I like the new rail, but I will hold on to the t-15 and likely build another gun around that rail. Hard to beat!

This is my current favorite. I actually threw it together out of spare parts and parts I found on sale. I didn’t think I’d like 10.5 so I wanted to do it cheap’ish to try out.

10.5 Triarc barrel
PSA lower
Aero upper
AO Precision BCG
Vltor A5. Springco green. I think I’m using a A5H0 weight

CompM5 in Scalarworks 1.93
PERST3
Modlight 18350 in T-Rex Lightbar
Proctor sling
Turbo K

I think that’s all the important stuff. I really, really like this little rifle.
