    I initially said this worked right out of the box. It did for three days and then utterly failed. The Startech support guy said they are finicky. Great. They are going to replace it and I have no choice but to order a second one. But I no longer trust it.

    We purchased this product for the Nexus 10 and were really disappointed because it did not work at all. It did not work on either our projectors or HD monitors. It would only show a dark yellowish background on the HD Monitor. The reason it received a 3 star is that it worked very well with an ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TL tablet. Note I was using the Model MCHD2VGAA. I don't know about the other models except that when I talked to the StarTech help desk they did not recommend any other of their cables. Their response was to buy a different brand of cable.

    Works fine for me. Although the description plays up "no external power needed", it DOES have the option of external power (via a micro-USB connector) if the video source can't supply enough -- that's very convenient for the Beaglebone Black, which can't power most converters.
