The keyboard is quite large, but the keys seem a little narrow and more elevated than myself or either of my children are used to. It could just be the awkwardness of switching to a different style of input device, and just takes a while to get used to. My daughter thinks it would be easier to use the keyboard with a tall wrist rest. The construction of the keyboard seems solid, and the lighting is quite striking. I do think I would recommend it for people with smaller or perhaps thinner hands than I have.
I've only gotten to use the mouse a little bit before my daughter latched onto it. The mouse has a good feel in your hand and we have both found it to be responsive. In addition to the standard top of the mouse buttons, this gaming mouse actually has three side buttons. My daughter said she recommends changing the settings on the lower of the side buttons when you are working, because it seems to be auto set on refresh and you might accidentally lose what you are working on. But for gaming she really likes the mouse, and she is using it to replace a well known brand of gaming mouse.
All told this is a very nice combo. Build quality and responsiveness are good, and the lighting looks great. Although the keyboard feels a bit awkward to me, it might be just the style someone else is looking for.

While the keyboard includes an ergonomic wrist rest, I found that it doesn't accommodate my external wrist rest, which I prefer for added comfort during long typing sessions. It's a minor inconvenience, but one that might be important for users who rely on external wrist support.
Despite this issue, the mouse included in the combo is excellent. It's powerful, sensitive, and responsive, making it well-suited for various tasks. On top of that, the included mouse pad is a nice bonus, offering ample space and a smooth surface for precise mouse movements.
Overall, despite the minor issue with the wrist rest, I am pleased with the performance of both the keyboard and mouse.
I like to use a wired USB interface to connect, because wireless keyboards and mice need to be charged occasionally, which is troublesome for me.
The ergonomic wrist rest makes the hand feel more comfortable and less uncomfortable during long-term use.
But I don’t actually need a backlit RGB design, it doesn’t help me play games or work.
As for loud and obnoxious, whether a keyboard is pleasant to the ears is a bit of a subjective matter. I believe the description of the sound of these keys is “clacky” more so than “thocky.” I would say it sounds a lot like the run of the mill keyboards that come with pre-built or enterprise style system builds.
But, what does proficiency mean to me? It means that the keys are exactly where my muscle memory expects them to be. The faster I can type without looking at a particular keyboard, the more I like a particular keyboard. From the pictures of this product in the item description I thought the key caps and key layout looked an awful lot like the infamous IBM Model M.
The standard 104 key layout is standard BECAUSE of the IBM Model M, and many keyboards in the 80s and 90s (I graduated High School in 2001) were nigh copies of the model M. So that is where my fingers expect the keys to be.
Are they? Yes and no. I haven’t laid hands on a model M since high school, so my muscle memory might be based on younger hand size. These keys feel a little small. There is a significant gap between keys, and sometimes when I am typing without looking my fingers may land in that valley, causing both key presses (or the wrong one) to be registered.
I also like the back of the keyboard to sit rather high. I ALWAYS fold the feet down when using a keyboard. The feet of this particular keyboard, unfortunately, do not alter it’s height all that much.
As for the other functions, it’s no razer chroma, but I do like the amount of control I have over the lighting. I do think, with this being a USB keyboard, that having the backlights time out was a bit of an engineering misstep.
I do like the keyboard. I’m not nearly as much of a snob when it comes to mice.
I will say, regarding the mouse, the manual was a little sparse. It did not mention the third thumb button beneath forward and back that while pressed increases the resolution of the mouse, slowing its movement down. It does mention that the two buttons below the scroll wheel are basically DPI gears – good to know. I like the “Knight Rider” illumination settings – unfortunately only available in color cycling; I would have preferred a set color for that.
The only thing I would complain about is the mention of a magnetic wrist rest in the item description. They bezel is plastic, and the wrist rest is built in, so that’s a flat out lie.
