    I purchased Monroe 553004 struts for my Nissan NV van, had my local shop mount OEM springs to this part. Upon install realized -- part incorrect! The bottom eye (where bolt inserts) was 'clocked' incorrectly and cannot be rotated on these struts. I called Monroe to discuss and they confirmed that the orientation does not match the part drawing (meaning either Monroe made the part wrong, or it's the wrong part and is stamped 553004, which is correct part number for Nissan NV). Monroe did send me the correct parts -- and they are now installed on my van. My van was out of commission for 1 week+ while waiting on Monroe to rectify this matter. If you buy Monroe, confirm correct part before installation / removing your old parts. If I did it again, I might just buy OEM struts directly from Nissan. That part number is E6110-1PB0B.

    The fit was correct, however the struts lasted only a few months. MONTHS. They started leaking within two months, and by four months they had stopped working altogether. Maybe you are just buying them to sell a vehicle, or get it down to the crusher. Fine. But, if you plan to keep your vehicle and plan to drive it on public roads, you may want to consider a better product, because these are class A GARBAGE.
    I thought maybe I got a bad set, so I bought them again. Because I am daft. Second set worked exactly the same. Two months, leaking. Four months they were not absorbing any motion whatsoever. Rubbish.
