5.0 out of 5 stars Best Available Book on the Weald

A very informative and well-researched book that explains how the special character of the Weald developed over the centuries. It is not a light read - you will have to concentrate and maybe read it more than once.

4.0 out of 5 stars A trilogy of love
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 1, 2021
This title is part of a series of three books about the historical geography of south east England, the others being the South Downs and the North Downs. Out if print, I wanted the Weald to complete the set. Tge copy arrived in excellent condition, although without its dust jacket. Like the other titles, it is written with deep knowledge and love of the landscape.
