I bought this last fall for a trusty old Yard Machines mower but I didn't install until this Spring since the old cable was still working. It looked just like the old cable but when I tried to install it the top 'z' connector was a little too fat to slip into the hole in the throttle lever.

After a few strokes with a file it went in fine. But then the cable was a little too long and wouldn't fully engage the throttle. I tied an overhand knot in the cable to take up the slack. That made it fit perfectly! Then my old reliable started up on the first pull.

Works great now.

This product was exactly as listed in description. Though it did state it would fit my model mower, turns out it was too long. Since I already discarded the broken cable, I could only measure the conduit. It was the same size as the product. Put a knot in the cable, which will prolly shorten it's life, so it works fine now. Be sure to know how long the control cable needs to be before purchasing.
