    Lightweight, easy to hook up to my laptop. When I first hooked it up, everything worked perfectly. After two or three days, my big monitor started having a "blackout moment" whenever I changed programs. Then the blackout moment extended to a couple of seconds, then a bit longer, until after about 10 days, it quit displaying at all. I thought it might be the HDMI cord as I'd had it for a couple of years, so bought a new one. Still, nothing. Of course I disconnected and reconnected everything multiple times, right after the blackouts started happening. Googled this docking station and saw that others had experienced the same problem. Unfortunately, had to return for a full refund (thank you, Seller!).

    Using with the new Acer Switch 12 Alpha. Worked right out of the box with no issue. Provides power as well so no need to use power block and can take the power block elsewhere without having to fiddle with things.

    NOTE: 08/09/2016 The picture displayed that shows a more typical laptop doc is WRONG. It is a Type-C block and connected via USB Type-C, not any latch/docking Picture changes depending on where you're looking at it but it is the correct Type-C dock.

    Pros: Works great, no issues.

    Cons: Price. A bit pricey but not much choice seeing as the Plugable type-C are out of stock with only a vague ETA on more. A bit annoying but I don't understand why these things don't come with one HDMI and one DP. Should be two of either. Not a big issue, just required me to order a HDMI-DP cable to hook up my second monitor (not yet arrived) but works great with the HDMI so far.

    Update: If you want to use the Display Port with an HDMI Monitor you likely need an active adapter. I tried two different DP -> HDMI cables and neither worked - one was a generic DP -> HDMI, the 2nd was 4k certified. Third time I tired the DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0a Active Adapter 4K@60Hz by UPtab and that allowed me to connected to my 2nd HDMI monitor. Be warned that you may need to reboot your device before both will come up, but I now have two external monitors, plus the built in display for the Acer Switch 12, running for 3 total displays.
