We're not even three full months into 2024 and it has been made abundantly clear that it's The Year of the Bob. Celebrities who rarely go short — like Sydney Sweeney, Jennifer Lopez, and Rita Ora — are suddenly feeling chop-happy, joining famous faces who have bobs in their regular rotation, like Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. Jennifer Love Hewitt is another star who gets the periodic hankering to put some space between her shoulders and her hair, but when she sat down in her go-to stylist's chair this time around, they went way shorter than usual with a borderline micro bob.
Hewitt spent her Monday night partying with her fellow 9-1-1 castmates to celebrate the upcoming premiere of the show's seventh season, but it looks like she spent Monday afternoon at Nine Zero One salon with stylist Nikki Lee. The actor posted several selfies and other photos to her Instagram story, writing on one of them, “My 901 bestie @nikkilee901 gave me a new vibe and look today for our @911onabc party! Thanks lady!” Hmmm — 901, 911. Coincidence? (Probably.)
Chopped right at the chin, her new cut was styled with a middle part, a hint of wave, and a little layering around the face. It paired gorgeously with her bolder-than-usual makeup, which included a red lip, and a black eyeliner with a graphic touch at the inner corners of her eyes.
She even shared a look at her cut the next morning, jokingly lamenting how messed up it got despite going out for only a couple of hours. But hey, it has that cool, bed-head look that Mick Jagger is wearing on her very own T-shirt, so she really has nothing to complain about.
Hewitt's last bob came courtesy of Lee just last September, after a summer of longer, blonde hair, but this new cut is definitely more drastic. Whether she'll stick to this length, grow it out, or go even shorter is yet to be seen, but I would be so here for a JLH bixie cut.
