The False Creek Seawall is a world-class walking and cycling path that loops along False Creek connecting English Bay with Science World on the north side and continuing on the south side to Granville Island and Kitsilano Beach.

Are you looking for an exceptional place to walk (jog, cycle, rollerblade) or simply a scenic location to sit on a bench and admire the city views? Then the False Creek area and its seawall is the place for you.The seawall loop offers a round-trip of 9.1 km with numerous areas to sit along the way.

Between the North and South side, we would have to recommend the South side as the views of downtown Vancouver and its remarkable cityscape will not disappoint. There are many great locations along the seawall to capture stunning imagery, including the section around Science World which will offer views of the unique round structure complimented with the BC Place Stadium in the back and the rest Vancouver's impressive architecture.

Photography Hotspots

There are many photography hotspots along the False Creek Seawall such as around Science World, views from the Cambie Street bridge and Granville Island.

Hiking / Walking

The full False Creek Seawall offers 9.1 km of walking / hiking or jogging distance.

Cycling Allowed

The 9.1 km False Creek Loop is bicycle (and rollerblade) friendly and has a designated cycling lane.

Transit Accessible

The False Creek Seawall is accessible via numerous bus stops or skytrain stations, such as the Main Street Science World Station.

Family Friendly

The family friendly seawall is the perfect place to take your young ones to explore the city. There are parks to explore, flowers to smell and art installations to admire. The seawall is also stroller friendly.

Dog Friendly

The False Creek Seawall is dog friendly on-leash. Dogs must be kept under control and stay clear of the cycling lane. Please pick up after your dog and dispose of excrement in appropriate bins.

Wheelchair Friendly

The False Creek Seawall is wheelchair friendly for the majority of the way. The wide path with little to no elevation gain allows for easy access.

Paid Parking Available

There are parking lots located around Flase Creek such as near Science World and on Granville Island, as well as street parking on the surrounding roads.
