Sy

Sy broke out in France with his César Award-winning role in “The Intouchables,” the first Black actor to win the prize. But it was his role as Assane Diop in Netflix hit “Lupin” that turned him into a global star. After two well-received seasons, a third is on the way. Based in Los Angeles for the past decade, Sy signed a multiyear deal in 2021 with Netflix to develop, executive produce and star in feature projects. This year he set a first-look television deal with HBO Max to develop series for the streamer for multiple markets around the globe. In 2022 alone he appeared in “Jurassic World Dominion,” “The Takedown” and Cannes’ Un Certain Regard opener “Father & Soldier,” which he also produced. Up next, he’ll star in action thriller “Shadow Force,” from Lionsgate.
