Bold & Beautiful‘s Krista Allen Says She Was Fired From Soap

The doctor is out. Two years after joining The Bold and the Beautiful as a recast for Hunter Tylo as Taylor Hayes, Krista Allen has been let go, she tells our sister site Deadline.
“The craziest thing is right before I got dropped, I did the cast photo shoot, and then the next week they called and said, ‘We’re not going to keep your third year… you were wonderful and thank you, goodbye. And I was like, ‘What?’”
A show spokesman declined to comment for the article, but an insider said that the Daytime Emmy nominee was offered the chance to recur on the show and rejected it. Allen’s rep, in turn, countered that in late November, she was offered what amounted to an under-five appearance “after a couple months of nothing.”
When the Days of Our Lives vet’s frontburner Taylor/Ridge/Brooke love triangle was resolved — as he always does, Ridge picked Brooke — Allen said that she convinced herself “everything is cyclical. I just figured that that was the situation, but then I was dropped, so that was it.”
A Bold & Beautiful mainstay since 1990, Taylor has had four husbands besides Ridge and was also involved with his father and brother. She is best known as a shrink but was originally an oncologist and, while “deceased,” was the princess of Morocco.
Your thoughts on Allen’s exit? Do you hope, as she said she does in her interview, that the role will be recast again? If so, who would you pick?
“B & B” tends to have characters disappear from the show without explanation: Wyatt, Flo, Maya and Rick.
Yep. And they keep doing the same storyline. Liam/steffy/hope triangle. Ridge/brooke/Taylor triangle. Throwing in there is always something wrong with eric…lately has been a few health issues. ED before this current one. Him wanting Quinn. The list goes on. They’ll bring in new ppl or storylines and then they just fall off. It’s just the love triangles and Eric’s issue of the month.
I’m so sick of what the writers have done to the show. I don’t even watch it that much. I cannot stand hope and Thomas, both should be written off. Along with Liam, Brooke, Katy, steffy, leave the rest, if the writers could figure out what to do with them. The show is so down hill new blood is what it needs, new actors , Taylor would of been perfect with Bill.
Don’t watch the show but have been a fan of hers for years. Follow her on social media and she has promoted that show sometimes multiple times a day pretty much her entire run. No such thing as loyalty. Don’t forget what the bigger word is in showbusiness.

Bring her back to Days. I’m in the minority I know, but I enjoyed her portrayal of Billie Reed so much. All 3 actresses brought different sides to Billie’s character and I enjoyed all 3 equally. Maybe bring her back to Days as a new character if they want to keep Lisa Rinna popping up. It would be cool if they got all 3 actresses to come back for a storyline.
Krista Allen’s Billie burying (then thought-to-be…) stillborn Georgia in the Louisiana swamp is one of my most memorable Days of Our Lives scenes. Typing that, it seems so unbelievably silly, but Krista Allen really delivered some powerful emotion in that scene. I’d be happy to have her bad at Days as any character.

I was skeptical at first but she was a great Taylor recast. The show has become unwatchable and unless you like Hope, Steffy and Liam, good luck. I miss the good old days….
Of all the actors on BB, the only one that can truely act is Hope, she’s the only one who’s emotions seem real
Liked her as Taylor, I just hated that they had her going for Ridge… again, she had chemistry with legit everyone else, Deacon, Bill, even Brooke when they were besties… like any of them would have been a better pairing than Taylor and Ridge.
She’ll always be Jade Blue Afterglow to me
I had not thought about that couple but I agree they would have been good together
Everyone’s fair game to be let go except Brooke and Ridge and though she has kids and grandkids on the show Taylor had no purpose unless she was tangled up with them. The show really only has room,female wise, for Brooke and Steffy. Or that’s how the screen time plays out. Steffy, I like(most of the time) but Brooke is like watching paint dry.
Such a shame that B and B let go of the gorgeous and talented actress Krista Allen.
The fabulous Krista Allen took over the role of Taylor and made it her own.
B and B has had great actresses on the show but have given them ridiculous storylines.
This once great show is a shell of it’s once marvelous self…
The writing is really bad.
The character Steffy Forrester is likable and very well portrayed by Emmy winner

Also , the character Brooke Logan has been on the show since the show began in 1987
, the actress that portrays Brooke couldn’t act then and she still can’t.
They’ve paired her with Thorsten Kaye:Ridge and they have absolutely no chemistry at all .
The writers give Brooke too much lattitude even after all the mess she has done to the forrester family. If I didn’t know better….I would think the B&B was all about the Logan’s instead of the forrester….it appears that every woman who comes to B&B who appears to be a threat to Brooke….end up leaving or fired. The writer is a joke!!
At this point the Logan family is so intertwined with the Forrester family how can you tell the difference ?
I did not think she was a very good actress. Not convincing and a bit childish.
So am glad she is off.
I think it is horrible they left krista go. Her part had a lot of potential for story lines. But the show is stuck on the logans and alot of the other actors get put aside. And that is a shame. The show has lost a lot of good actors because of there lack of ideas and story lines to move the show forward.

I used to like the character of Taylor in the old days, but now…. The way they wrote her in the last twenty years made her look so desperate. “Brilliant shrink” who got fooled by a known nutcase like Sheila? It was just too frustrating to watch. And her obsession for Ridge? She is a convicted criminal, who keeps going after men like Ridge, Thorne, Eric, Nick, Rick, Storm, Brooke`s father, etc simply because of they are somehow connected to Brooke. Time to ship her off to some nice looneybin to get rid of that obsession. Maybe then they could find some new storylines for her.

I love the new Taylor, Krista. She is a breath of fresh air. Ridge was dumb as usual. Sick of Brooke and the boring Logan sisters. Same old storylines.
I can’t stand what they did to the Taylor character. They ruined her. However Krista Allen was a great re-cast. I no longer watch the show because it has gone down hill so much since Susan Flannery left. I was so sick of the triangles on this show Steffy/Liam/Hope and the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor. This show has run it course.
Honestly I was they would make a prequel of the show from the beginnings of Eric and Stephanie which would include Beth Logan and Masimo.
It’s nice to not have the mess of a non love triangle.
As the mother of the kids and nothing more unless they find a new man for her.
Awww, I liked her! Bring her back! Match her up with Dollar Bill. First flirting, romance and then marriage. Keep them together, none of this on and off! No Brooke interference! Let them be a happy couple for a change!
I think that was not a great thing to do to Allen as a show regular we want her back with the rest of her family like the Forrester family
I really liked Krista Allen and was hoping that she would be given her own storyline but that never happened. The writers don’t realize that the whole Brooke/Ridge storyline has become nauseating.

I’m really sorry she is gone after all that grooming to look like Taylor she played the role very well.but that role of Taylor never get Ridge .I’m tired of Brooke always winning 😒 with Ridge .bring back the original Taylor.

“Thing”? Yeah, I guess you could call deep repulsion a “thing”.
I wish her well, but I never quite liked her . She just did not seem as genuine in her role. She flaunted herself in the role. Please do not bring her back.
Krista Allen did not know how to act in the Bold and Beautiful.. for a supposed smart woman she acted really dumb and her dacial expressions didnt match either and her body language also didnt go with the monologue.. kind of glad she is gone!
Very sick of Brooke with the dumb destiny line. The logans girls are just nothing that cashed in on the fosters. Ridge needed someone like Taylor a woman of class. No baggage like Brooke. The show is becoming boring. Best oart now is Thomas and Hope. Sheila keep popping up is ridiculous let her die.
Woman of Class? Taylor is a convicted murderer and on-off alcoholic, who abandoned her son Jack when he few months old. Real classy.
Unfortunately, Taylor has become a “fifth wheel” with four husbands besides Ridge and her role is no longer germane to the story line.
Crazy. You can do so much more with her. Stop getting rid of the better actors. Get that stupid Liam character out. He is a dumb but. A waste of money and time.
