Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday February 17, 2022 in her 70th year. Cherished wife of 53 years to Manuel Amaral. Loving mother of Ana, Paul (Jen), Luis, Emanuel (Kim) and Sonia Goodwins (Kyle). "Vavo" will be sadly missed by all of her loving grandchildren. Sister of the late Manuel Raposo (Evangelina), the late Joao (Maria Carmo), Maria Lopes (Jorge), Bento Raposo (Emilia) and Mary Jo Neto (Jose). Sister-in-law of Rick Felix (Mary de Jesus). She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Township chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes 435 Davis Drive (Centennial at Taylor-Kidd) on Tuesday February 22 between the hours of 4-7 p.m. Guests are asked to call the funeral home during normal business hours to reserve their visitation time (613 546 5150). Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
