    Common Name: Baseball Bat Cactus.

    Origin: Bolivia (Southern America).

    Hardiness: Hardy down to -3

    Growth Characteristics: Evergreen, perennial columnar Cactus. Branching ocurs. Stems greyish-green in colour with around 6-7 ribs. Cream coloured areoles each bearing 3-5 sharp stout spines 6-10cm in length and 7-10 short radial ones. Edible fruit follows the pinkish white funnel shaped flowers. Drought tolerant once established. Easy to grow.

    Sun: Full sun/partial shade.

    Exposure: Sheltered.

    Soil: Well drained soil. Gritty.

    Moisture: Water more in summer and during growing period. Allow to dry between waterings. Keep dry in winter.

    Neocardenasia Herzogiana Cactus. Baseball Bat Cactus.
    The Neocardenasia Herzogiana Cactus is a large columnar variety of cacti which branch into the shape of a candelabra. This perennial evergreen succulent can reach heights of 15m in it’s native habitat. The stems are well defined, greyish-green in colour and have 6-7 ribs with cream coloured areoles housing 3-5 stout central spines, 6-10cm long and 7-10 radial ones which are1-2cm long. Also known as the Baseball Bat Cactus it has the longest spines known to exist among any cacti.
