French Generals Overhaul

Description
Are you tired of seeing the same generic portraits for half of the french generals ? Are you tired of seeing that Paradox still hasn't done anything yet ? Well boy do i have news for you !

WHAT IS THIS MOD ABOUT SACREBLEU ????

This mod gives France a grand total of 40 Generals and 14 Admirals which will all be listed down below. Some of them won't be immidiately available when starting the game in 1936, as you will be able to unlock them when completing the "Battle of Maneuver" and "Army Reform" Focuses.

I have tried my best to give them traits that fit their historical counter-part. I have buffed some and nerfed others based on their performances during their career aswell as the Battle of France campaign and afterwards. I'm sorry if some portraits look worse than others, as most of the time, the least known generals and admirals have very few good quality pictures of themselves on the internet. There's also the fact that i'm not the best at making portraits :p

Corap had a decent understanding of war when you compare him to someone like General Condé who was stuck in the past with his mathematical studies on artillery barrages, or even Blanchard, which Corap criticized for being too doctrinal and too tactically rigid. The 1940 campaign would prove him right in the end, though Corap is still viewed today as a poor general. I believe he had a pretty good potential overall, even if his time as commander of the IXth army is still not very known. I recommend reading his biography, written by Max Schiavon, which helped me a lot !

Anyway i might have said too much for such a small detail but i wanted to prove my point lol ^^

to answer FranC4 :

I'll be honest, i have a little soft spot for Corap. The guy was far more competent than Huntziger or Billotte (he had terrible relations with both of them), and the Army he was commanding was way too small and badly equipped to hold anything other than a couple skirmishes. During the entierety of his command of the IXth army, he kept asking for more troops and better equipment and his demands were always refused. The fact that his army was able to disengage to the other side of the Meuse is a miracle by itself. The blame for the breakthrough at Sedan was put on him by Huntziger and the politicians who needed a scapegoat for their mistakes. Huntziger is the biggest red flag in this story, as he actually had recon planes warning him of movement in the Ardennes, which he dismissed entierly.

First, this mod is amazing. The artwork is really well done.
Second, I noticed that the dev for the mod definitely put a lot of heart into commander traits(like George Alphonse is the only marshal without a old guard trait).
However, I have a question for the dev: Are you SURE Andre Corap does not need an Old Guard trait as well?

Thank you!
