You know what's a cardinal video game sin? Releasing an interlude game between two games on a handheld platform in a different genre that explains critical events and details necessary for understanding the sequel.

Especially if it really doesn't measure up to other games in the series. Mirror of Fate just didn't hold my attention, so I never finished it, and thus haven't played Castlevania: Lords of Shadow II.

If I had to give it a number I'd say it was a rather bland 65/10, making it overall fine but just not interesting enough to compete with other Metroidvanias in my library.
