St. Louis hip-hop star Nelly is out with a new release, but MoShine is not a new album, it’s moonshine.

The spirit is inspired by his love of hip-hop and country music, and even gives a nod to his hometown of St. Louis, ‘MO’. He is known for shaking up the music scene when he brought his hip-hop sounds to the world of country, and that “rule-breaking spirit” led to the creation of MoShine.

"I'm taking a country tradition and mixing it up for everyone to enjoy," Nelly said in a press release.

The corn-based moonshine comes in peach and passion fruit flavors and are smooth enough for shots or can be paired with a variety of mixers..

"Where I come from, we work hard and play harder, and I want my fans to be able to reach for MoShine anytime they're ready to get the party started," said Nelly in a release. His signature drink is The Fix, Peach MoShine mixed with Red Bull.

A promotional video for the moonshine was shot at Blueberry Hill in University City. Several shots from the Delmar Loop and inside the iconic restaurant are featured in the YouTube video.

The drink debuted earlier this month at WSWA Access Live, the industry’s premier event for spirits professionals.

The spirit can be found on shelves across the country or online at DrinkMoShine.com.
