Gameplay Overview

The player can fire front and from the behind. Destroying enemies will drop score items, which can increase the multiplier. Alien astronaut will spawn during stages, and can drop items depending on the mode played.

Controls

  • A (Press): Tap front shot
  • A (Hold): Focus front shot
  • B: SP attack
  • B (Hold): Focus back shot
  • C: Shield activation

Scoring

Scoring consists of a multiplier, which increases by collecting score items. If certain conditions are fulfilled, a big NGDEV mascot will appear and destroyed enemies will drop NGDEV mascot items temporarily. Collecting NGDEV mascot items will increase the multiplier even further.

Fulfilling other conditions also reveal devilsplosions and secret jokers.

After clearing a stage, the score is increased by item bonus, shield bonus, No-Miss bonus (if the player didn`t die during a stage), Tech Bonus, max chain and secrets found.

Modes

  • Novice: A game mode where stars are the scoring source. Holding down the front shot button will fire rapid spread shots. Game ends after Stage 5.
  • Original: The full game experience. Tap front shot is spread. Holding down the front shot button will release a series of high powered missiles.
  • Maniac: A game mode with tweaked weapons and as well a unique chaining system. Focus front shot is a laser. Attacking large enemies long enough will trigger Grinding, which can refill the shield gauge when collecting green orbs from enemies. Keep in mind that the alien astronaut does not drop shield items.
  • Omake: A game mode similar to Maniac Mode. The difference is that the shield recharge gauge is removed, destroyed enemies won´t spawn score items, rank is lock at the highest and bullet densitiy is insanely high.

Rank

Rank appears on Original, Maniac and Omake.

Rank increases when destroying a group of enemies and surviving long enough. The higher the rank, the more bullets and enemies spawn. When rank reaches Devil level, items are attracted faster and large enemies will fire back surprise suicide bullets.

Items

Star: Exclusive to Novice Mode.
Medals: They appear on Original (Yellow) and Maniac (Blue)
Shield Spawns from shooting down the alien astronaut in Novice and Original. Adds an extra shield.
Yellow orb: Appears only in Original mode when destroying large enemies with the missiles.
Green orb: Appears in Maniac and Omake. In Maniac, they recharge the shield gauge.
Extend: Appears on Stage 4 if certain conditions are met.
NGDEV mascot: Appears when fulfilling certain conditions to reveal a big NGDEV mascot. Destroyed enemies will drop NGDEV mascots.

True Last Boss / TLB

In order to fight the TLB, the player must play on Maniac Mode and achieve 10 billion pts. after defeating the Stage 6 Boss.

It´s also on Omake. However, to this day, no one has ever tried to reach the TLB on Omake legitimaly.

Glitches

  • In ver 1.5, if the player lets the entire attract sequence until the ranking and starts the game on Original or Maniac, rank will start on level 2. If the player destroys much enemies and survives, the Devil rank can be reached in Stage 1.

Trivia

  • On the teaser trailer of the game, some of the bullets are slightly different.
