Zhang Ziyi is China's most expensive actress

Zhang Ziyi was recently revealed as the most expensive actress in China.

17 Aug – A Chinese television personality recently spilled the beans on the highest paid celebrity in China, and it was not a shocker when the name that he uttered was the industry darling herself, Zhang Ziyi.

As reported on Epoch Times, Chinese host Jack Li, who went on TikTok recently, did not mention the actress by name at first, and only revealed that a certain celebrity would cost a company around RMB500,000 just for a two-hour appearance.

Jack stated that due to her status, the said artiste would have to go through the VIP channel when entering and leaving an airport, which itself would cost up to RMB60,000. Her make-up and wardrobe, plus accommodation and chartered transportation, could also add an additional hefty amount of money.

He then revealed that the person he was talking about was none other than the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" star.

Nonetheless, the revelation was not done in malice, as Jack then stressed that Zhang is worth it as she is an award-winning talented star who is also dedicated to her art and the projects given to her.
