QUEENS, N.Y. - There might not be a more dramatic way to win a collegiate golf tournament than how St. John's Jennifer Neville did on Tuesday, claiming the Brown Bear Invitational in a three-way playoff to earn the first individual title of her career.

Neville shot an even-par 72 at the Rhode Island Country Club, tying her with Yale's Sun Gyoung Park and Boston University's Kristyna Pavlickova at the end of the tournament's second round. The three golfers began a sudden death elimination, with Park falling on the first hole. On the par-four second, Neville was able to card a par to top Pavlickova and get the win.

"This is an amazing feeling. I've been in the lead after the first round several times and today I just had that feeling that it was finally time for me to win," Neville said. "I played well today and was hitting the ball well, so I figured if I was going to win any event, today would be the one."

As a team, the Red Storm carded a 311, to move up to a fifth-place team finish. Rachel Carpenter carded her best round of the event as she was St. John's second-lowest scorer with a 78(+6). Harin Lee finished in a tie for 20th overall after recording a 79(+7).

Stephanie Eybers also notched her best round of the tournament with an 82 (+10), while Cameron Lambertson added an 85(+13) to round out the St. John's starting five. Sebin Kim was the low-finishing individual of the week as she followed Monday's 81 with an 85 on Tuesday.

The Red Storm, which boasts individual winners from each of its last two tournaments, will look to carry the momentum from the spring into next week's BIG EAST Championships, which run from April 21-23 in Orlando, Fla.
