Sulcorebutia menesesii is an exceptional cactus that is easy to care for and grow. With pectinate spination that is tidy, symmetrical, and has many yellowish orange blooms, but is often known as Sulcorebutia arenacea. Even without its flowers, this cactus is still lovely. After reaching a specific size and maturity, the stems can produce pups.

These rocky plants are vulnerable to overwatering and have substantial taproots. Since it is extremely sensitive to any moisture excesses, they prefer a very permeable, coarse mineral soil as well as to be exclusively kept dry throughout the dormant winter period.
