The Dallas star had a weekend full of celebrations for his 75th birthday — from attending 90s Con to a dinner and birthday cake party with his fellow Step by Step alums. The cast of the blended family sitcom visited the convention in Hartford, Connecticut on Sunday for a panel moderated by PEOPLE’s Breanne L. Heldman. Towards the end of the panel, the crowd surprised Duffy by singing "Happy Birthday." The 90s Con staff even presented the actor with a cake on stage. Duffy expressed his gratitude to the crowd — but it was far from his only birthday moment on Sunday. Christine Lakin/Instagram After the panel, Duffy went to The Capital Grille for dinner with his castmates. “Happy birthday to one of my favorite people of all time,” Christine Lakin wrote on her Instagram Story. In the video on her Story, Lakin, 45, captured another round of the "Happy Birthday" song, as well as a Capital Grille staff member who made a joke about the silver candles on the cake. “Just so you know, I picked out those candles because of your silver foxiness,” the employee said. In the photo, Duffy is holding up a giant slice of cake in celebration. Staci Keanan, Angela Watson, Christopher Castile, Jason Marsden and Sasha Mitchell joined Lakin and Duffy for the 90s Con panel on Sunday. Notably missing was Suzanne Somers, who died in October. The cast honored her memory by sharing some of their favorite memories of Somers, in many cases, outlining her generosity and kindness.
