Céline Dion is having a delicious visit to Boston.

The Canadian superstar, 55, was spotted in Boston on Monday evening as she headed out for an Italian dinner with her sons.

Dion arrived unannounced at Scampo in the Liberty Hotel in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood with a big group, including her twin sons Nelson and Eddy, both 13. (Dion is also mom to son René-Charles Angélil, 23.)

The group occupied three tables as they enjoyed their meal prepared by Scampo’s chef-owner Lydia Shire, a longtime friend to Dion, and Shire's son Alex.

Described as “very cordial,” Dion ordered the white asparagus soup with truffled beet gnocchi and toasted hazelnut butter and the chili crisp chicken breast with Okinawan yam and pajeon (a Korean scallion pancake).

A manager at Scampo tells PEOPLE that restaurant patrons were in awe of the Grammy winner, who was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder known as stiff-person syndrome in 2022.

“Everyone said she looked like a million bucks,” the manager adds, noting that staff did not know she was coming in. “Everyone said she looked beautiful.”

After her dinner on Monday, Dion said she would return soon while she is in town, according to the manager. On her way out of the restaurant, Dion stopped to pose for several photos with fans.

It’s not the first time Dion has visited one of Shire’s restaurants. When Dion’s late husband René Angélil was in Boston receiving medical treatment several years before his passing in 2016, the family came to be familiar with Shire’s culinary empire, which also included Biba and Locke-Ober.

“When her husband was very sick, Lydia cooked for them, and they ended up staying in town longer than planned,” the manager tells PEOPLE. “Celine fell in love with Lydia then.”

Dion has been stepping out recently. She made her first public appearance in months at the 2024 Grammys in early February. She also attended a hockey game in Las Vegas that same month to cheer on the Edmonton Oilers.

The Canadian hockey team shared fun footage of Dion in the locker room. In the clip on Instagram, Dion appeared to be in high spirits as she joked about how “exciting” it was for her to meet the athletes.
