‘Castle’ actress Susan Sullivan reveals she underwent surgery following lung cancer diagnosis

“Castle” actress Susan Sullivan revealed she underwent a “successful” surgery after she was diagnosed with lung cancer.

“Thanks for all the lovely comments and concerns,” she tweeted on X (formerly Twitter) Tuesday. “I had lung cancer.”

Sullivan, 80, added that though the “surgery was successful,” she is currently struggling with the “healing process.”

“Thanks glad you’re out there! #friends,” she concluded.

A day prior, the “Falcon Crest” alum shared a picture of herself in the hospital.

“Life‘s surprising little turns try to be ready for them with humor and hope,” she captioned the snap of herself holding onto an IV pole while wearing a hospital gown and yellow face mask.

“The surgery was successful. The healing process is a struggle,” the “Castle” alum tweeted Tuesday. X/@realssullivan

“On we go.”

Fans flooded her post with their prayers and support for the actress.

“Best wishes for a speedy recovery.🙏🏾,” wrote one user.

“Sweetheart! No idea, but here’s to your continued recovery! All my love!” added another.

Sullivan rose to fame in the late ’70s, starring in films such as “The Incredible Hulk” and “Killer’s Delight.”

She is best known for roles in “It’s a Living,” “Another World” and “Falcon Crest.”

She also spent eight seasons on the comedy-drama “Castle” playing Nathan Fillion’s mother, Martha Rodgers.
