From the Humanities to Basic and Applied Sciences, Health Sciences, and Education, this is an institution that has, for many years, set the pace for its peers in Ghana, in the sub-region, and at the continental level.

As Vice-Chancellor, I am determined to build on our well-established position as a highly-sought university to become one of the very best centers of teaching and research. We have a bold strategy amplified in our Strategic Plan, taking us to 2024, which is based on a re-defined vision to become a world-class research-intensive university over the next decade.

Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, the possibilities you have here are endless. We have succeeded in creating a multicultural and multidisciplinary academic environment that enables us to stand out not only as the premier University in Ghana but also ranked very high in global rankings.

By prioritizing research and teaching and aligning budgets to support effective implementation of our strategic priorities and objectives, we are committed to enhancing the general well-being of our students, as well as sustaining our upward move in global rankings.

As a University, we will ensure that our governance structures and support systems work proactively, effectively, and efficiently to achieve our strategic priorities. Our core values of respect, commitment, integrity, and loyalty will remain our cardinal hallmark.
