Redditch MP Rachel Maclean welcomes brand new pump track

A NEW pump track has opened in Redditch for cyclists of all ages.

Located between the BMX track and the skate park in Matchborough, the pump track is now open and already in use.

The new area, which is open to the public all year round, is designed for riders of all ages and abilities. It has been delivered thanks to new investment by Redditch Borough Council.

Rachel Maclean MP has welcomed the opening of the issue.

She said: “There was definitely a need for more things for young people in Redditch, so I know this brand new pump track will be welcome.

“As I saw for myself when I stopped by to see the pump track, young people were out with their friends and enjoying the outdoors.

“None of them were on their phones, which was great to see, especially at a time when phones and games consoles are increasingly dominating their lives.”
