Key Features and Benefits
Local and remote power distribution management with billing grade accuracy
An advanced LCD screen on HP Managed Power Distribution Units (maPDU) provides local monitoring and alert indications.
Remotely access and configure each maPDU through secure Web, SNMP, CLI, or Telnet
Interfaces with the ability to daisy-chain up to four units to share the same network connection and IP address.
Remote outlet monitoring within ±1% billing grade accuracy.
Remote outlet switching provides power on/off capabilities to remotely reboot equipment or restrict outlet usage.
Supports both Local and LDAP security with multiple access levels to provide enhanced security.
Flexible, simple installation and maintenance
The HP Managed Power Distribution Unit features a low-profile, single-piece design supporting multiple mounting options and ease of access to rear devices for maintenance.
Each maPDU can be installed on either side of the rack with outlets facing the back of the rack for easy access and improved clearance.
Install maPDU units side by side on both sides of the rack with the outlets facing in towards the center of the rack for high density configurations.
Provides integrated power cord retention on all IEC receptacles that work with standard power cords.
Add an optional environmental sensor which can measure air temperature and humidity in the front or rear of the rack, sending alerts over the network based on user-defined thresholds.
Compatible With a Wide Range of HP and Non-HP Rack Solutions
HP Managed Power Distribution Units are designed to provide complete compatibility with HP
11000 G2 and Intelligent Series racks.
The maPDU is also compatible with a wide range of non-HP racks using standard button and keyhole mounting.

HP Managed Power Distribution Units (maPDU)
Flexible Installation The HP Managed Power Distribution Units (maPDU) are available in two form factors supporting a variety of vertical/0U rack configurations. All HP Managed Power Distribution Units (maPDU) can be mounted to stay completely out of the critical rear maintenance path needed to service IT equipment in the rack. All vertical models use industry standard button and keyhole mounting for simple drop in installation in HP
11000 G2 and Intelligent Series racks, as well as many non-HP racks.
Mount vertically on either side in the rear of the rack using industry standard button and keyhole mounting.
Standard mounting faces the outlet towards the rear of the rack. This configuration fully prevents interference in the maintenance zone between rear RETMA rails.
Using the optional configuration of facing the outlets into the rack, multiple PDUs can be mounted on one side of the rack for higher power density. maPDU Form Factors
NOTE: Facing the outlets into the rack will interfere with the lower few rack U spaces of the rear maintenance zone due to breakers on the PDUs.
Half Height PDU o Designed to fit in 22U and taller racks o Up to 4 Half Height PDUs can be mounted on one side of a 42U or 47U rack using the optional inward facing configuration.
Full Height PDUs o Designed for 42U and taller racks.
Environmental monitoring
Warranty
NOTE: When mounted in the standard rear facing configuration only 1 Full Height PDU can be mounted per side of the rack. Up to 2 Half Height PDUs can be mounted per side in the standard rear facing configuration in a 42U or taller rack.
An optional environmental sensor attaches to the HP Managed Power Distribution Units (maPDU) and can measure air temperature and humidity in the front or rear of the rack. The environmental sensor will send alerts over the network based on user defined thresholds.
HP Managed Power Distribution Units (maPDU) are backed by a limited 3-year warranty.
HP Managed Power Distribution Units (maPDU) automatically assume the Care Pack coverage level of any covered ProLiant server in the same rack. c04376673 – DA – 15069 Worldwide — Version 1 — September 29, 2014 Page 5
