This was one of the top restaurants in Bakersfield back in the 1960's, we use to go there for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries haven't been there in 60 years.

Old School Good & Great Bar

I really like this place. Older crowd but very attentive waitresses and one of the best bars in that area. Food is good, not great, but at $50 with sides and drinks, it's a good value. Prime Rib is their specialty. They have prime cut steaks, usually a grade reserved for the most expensive restaurants.

The bar is a nice place to enjoy a scotch from a four page list. Home made potato chips are a nice touch. Prime Rib sandwiches are at the end of the bar.

Very disappointing. Had dinner with friends, all of us did not have a good experience. Tried brunch and all food was cold and many things were already gone by 11am!!!! The venue is wonderful and the service was great. Hope things improve because I would love to try it again but I can't recommend it now.
