After reading some pretty positive reviews, we were excited to finally visit Dragon Loco. We arrived on April 16, at about 7:30 p.m. I reviewed several of the food photographs on Yelp posted by trusted friends, and I knew what I wanted to try.
Upon entering the business, there was a male worker standing to the rear of the business on the telephone near the kitchen. The male had a phone up to his ear, and he was not speaking. We stood at the counter and waited and waited and waited, and we looked in the direction of the male. The male did not make any comments to us, and he was not speaking to anyone. After playing the starring game, we turned around and exited the business.
As we walked into the parking lot, there was a male speaking to another male in a parking spot right in front of the business. I later surmised that the male inside the business on the telephone was the cook, and the male in the parking lot might have been the person who takes the orders. Of course, this is only a hunch. Bottom line: Horrible service, and we were really disappointed.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - 447361511864Jan 7, 2013
Outstanding customer service! The guy that helped us out was awesome. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and gave extensive details on their menu since it was our first time. Naturally... we wanted to try a bit of everything. The place is small, but very clean and they have a large variety of interesting drinks and foods.
The Food:
Chorizo Won Tons- They were filled with a hint of chorizo and I believe cream cheese? Either way... they were fried just right and plated very nicely.
BBQ Pork Taco- Damn I only wish I had bought more : ( It was the bomb. Very fresh yet meaty at the same time. I recommend trying this out when ya visit.
Kung Pao Fries- Delicious! Topped with a perfectly cooked fried egg that runs down to the fries below. The fries have of course the Kung Pao, chives, loads of cheese, avocado sauce, hot sauce, sour cream, black beans, and rice.
Orange Chicken Burrito- Very large and filling. If you get this... you will only be able to eat this. It will fill you up quickly. Their orange chicken is more meat than breading. Very contrary to typical Americanized Chinese food.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 16Oh no 0Business owner information

5 stars!
So my loving S.O. found this place on Yelp and insisted on our visit that evening. He usually lets me pick where we go, so I had to give in if he was making the decisions that day.
Do not let the location steer you away! It's in a small shopping center and does not look like anything fancy. However, it's freaking amazing so don't judge a book by its cover.
When you walk up, there is a huge array of chinese and mexican fusion items. They also use the Spot On app which gives you a discount if you use it. There is also boba, yum!
I ordered the carne asada fries which definitely blew away your typical carne asada fries. They had fried rice and an egg on top! Of course there were the usual items like sour cream and carne asada, but wow, this was amazing.
I tried their orange chicken (so spicy but you can control that). I am definitely getting the orange chicken burrito soon.
The owner came out and spoke with us. He said he got the idea because his parents are mexican and Taiwanese. How cute is that?
When we were leaving, people started pouring in. It's definitely becoming popular so if you are in the area you MUST stop by.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jun 8, 2012Purchased a Yelp Deal
Got my free egg roll for checking in with Yelp.
Got my Yelp Deal - a $4 discount on a $10 purchase.
Got a free, small bowl of chicken teriyaki, compliments of the owner.
Got to meet Mario, the owner.
Didn't get a "Chinese" empanada. All gone. Boo to the corrections officers who absconded with all of them this morning. They must be pretty good.
Foodwise...Mr. B chose a 3 entree dinner with steamed rice. And I got a huge orange chicken quesadilla.
The servings were huge. The quesadilla was monstrous. The crispy wonton sticks drizzled with a little teriyaki sauce were a clever, addictive touch. There was so much food, we brought it home and fed two more adults with hollow legs. Wow.
Would I go back? I might... if I was in the area.
But, just be warned, the entrees they use for the Mexican Chinese fusion dishes are basically like every other Chinese fast food. Nothing out of the ordinary. It is just the novelty of putting the food into a tortilla, where they think outside the box.
And Mario, the owner, is one crazy, earnest, lovely businessman who will go out of his way to please you.
Lacking much seating, this is still a good little place for that inexpensive, fast food Chinese meal, no matter how you want it, traditional or with a Latino spin. And you get your food really fast. Great if you are on a lunch break or on the run. Great prices too.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - 3716491112Jul 7, 2014
A very casual environment with several tables inside for those who prefer to dine in. The owner was helpful in explaining the different entrees. I was really ecstatic to try the Chinese BBQ Pork Nachos (doesn't that sound amazing?!) but they ran out of Chinese BBQ pork. So I got the regular carne asada fries but they were definitely no ordinary carne asada fries. They came with fried rice on top, beans, a fried egg, shredded cheese, an orange sauce (maybe chipotle or Srircha mayo?) and their green avocado sauce. The carne asada tasted a little overcook but it was still good.
I also got their chorizo juantons. They were drizzled with the orange sauce and green avocado sauce. These were my favorite here! An order comes with three. I was also excited to try their Orange Chicken Burrito. Apparently, there are two options -- the dragon option and the loco option. One comes with chow mein and one does not. I forgot which is which. I got the one without chow mein but I later discovered that the one with chow mein tasted better. They have pretty good-tasting chow mein!
Overall, the quality of the ingredients were mediocre. It was very ordinary, flavorless fried rice and the fried chicken was hard and the flavor was lackluster. However, I think the combination of flavors, and particularly the sauces, made me enjoy the dishes. The owner was very friendly in giving us extra sauces as well. I fell into a food coma after eating here and had to walk it off at Ontario Mills! It is worth a visit and try this place out if you enjoy Chinese and/or Mexican food. I admire the creativity behind the food here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2014
It's more like 3.5 stars, but alas...
We went on a saturday afternoon, to try the Mexican (not Spanish...wth) and Chinese fusion cuisine. At first glance, the place needs a make over ASAP: It is really small inside, with metal outdoor tables and chairs. The cashier worker girl didn't really greet or talk much, so it kind of sucked because it was our first time, and a little guidance would have been welcomed. Other patrons would come in and ask for this sauce and that sauce, and all I kept hearing is "sorry, we're out of it." There was obnoxious rap music playing, but you have the option to hook up your phone to their radio and play your own songs, so that's cool.
We ordered the acovado juantons, which is good, but a less savory version of BJ's avocado eggrolls, the loco fries with carne asada, (which were basically carne asada fries with a lot of beans a little bit of fried rice) and the spicy chow mein. The chow main wasn't any different to every other chow mein anywhere else. I liked the carne asada fries, and the fried egg that came with it. The prices were not too bad, so it makes a good argument for a second visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I am not sure what is up with these guys...try had spent time and money to get permits, up grade pos machines and then abracadabra they disappear with no info as to when and if they will be back.
If management reads this I hope that they take away the fact that there customer base has become void. It seems to be a recurring chain of events with little to no explanation. This is the only consistency and when people drive as far as mentioned in other reviews...well that is bad business.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 30, 2014
I came here because I saw this was something unique...Chinese-Mexican fusion food. We got the loco fries and dragon burrito with orange chicken. The orange chicken was okay, it wasn't anything special. The burrito was average. The customer service was pretty good though.

Mexican meets Chinese and had a orange chicken wrapped in a tortilla. Not bad, but missing a kick.
Food 4/5. Had the orange chicken burrito and loco fries. First bite of the burrito was good, but it was missing something. Maybe the chicken wasn't crispy enough. The fries were good initially, but it was missing something too. It's almost a 5/5 but something wasn't right...
Sevrice 5/5. Explained the menu and asked how my day was. Family owned and oriented. They give large portions, so expect left overs.
I would come back to try their noodles.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
