OK thank you yelp for losing my previous post - so just going to say - eat at this place - the people are amazing the food is soooooo good (even have a Friday Fish fry flounder that beats the pants off anything in the valley) but that being said the real reason is their Chinese cuisine which is outstanding just go - can't say anymore
Try it - It is truly a happy place :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 30, 2014Previous reviewMust tell everyone - go eat and enjoy Confucius on OO (northland) Henry Lee influence - amazing decor service is awesome and don't believe the yelp post that says they're closed - smacks GingerRootz for freshness, taste, and originality. recommend the special upgrade gets you choice of appetizer (lettuce wraps are good ) soup and dessert (fried bananas with chocolate amazing) - yes it was very empy when we were there on Friday night, BUT if we all rally around this great fresh food - they'll soon be full and then we'll be unhappy because we can't get a table

Just me and my husband, I had the fantastic chicken and he had the hibachi combo.
Pro: the outside looks and the setting looks great. Server: was very nice. . Though he forgot to refill our water until been flagged down.
Con: too expensive for their dishes. Mine taste too sweet and my husband was too salty and it only taste like beef paste.
First come, last serve. Just us two and a party of 6 came in after 15 min got their food first. Got their water refill without them flagging down the server.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lorelei P.Miami, FL125623Jul 18, 2011First to Review
Maybe I'm spoiled, but this place is only ok. I waited for 10 minutes after I was seated for my waiter to come by. The menu seemed like very standard American-Chinese. I ordered Kung Po chicken, which was supposed to be spicy. It was not remotely spicy. The food was good quality, but the flavor was lacking, and it was too saucy for me. I prefer a drier stir fry. I will keep looking for good Chinese north of Chicago.

Pretty much the best Chinese food locally that I've had. Love the sesame chicken and chicken fries rice. Food is on the higher end side price wise, which is all that keeps it from perfect score, but it is definitely worth it. Staff is always friendly and courteous over the phone (never dined in, order carry out at least twice a month). Definitely worth a try if you haven't yet.

At first My wife and i were expecting the food to be great, But we were wrong. The food i had was the hibachi combo. My wife had the fantastic chicken. I was expecting the "hibachi combo" it to be grilled off of the hot plate table which it was not. Cooked in a pan, very greasy and very salty. My wifes dinner was the fantastic chicken. All she could taste was the sauce they use, egg roll sauce, the sweet and sour sauce. Not good at all. But iam judging against the food. The waiter did an good job

Best Chinese food I've ever had! The chicken has never been fatty, and the meals have been consistently good each time I've eaten there. That's my main gripe about Chinese restaurants, the food isn't consistently good. Not so here. It is a bit on the expensive side though. I guess you get what you pay for...

Very good - quick, delicious, well-priced & good service. Not sure why we've never been there before, but we'll definitely go back now that we know about it. Not as busy as Gingerootz, but the food was just as good (if not better) & we didn't have to wait to be seated - definitely a worthy alternative. I highly recommend for a nice quiet dining experience.

This is the best quality Chinese food that I've had in the area. Great choices for lunch. It's pricier but you get what you pay for. I had the choice of Soup or salad and I chose the hot n sour soup. This is the best hot n sour soup that I have had so far. I had General Tso's. The sauce was good not too thick nor thin. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt with her service. I would go back again.

For Chinese food in rural Wisconsin Confucius is great! The food was good, the service was quick and friendly, and the ambience was very nice for the price range. I will definitely be back for the hot and sour soup.
