Jutland Tomorrow

3 Feb

Tomorrow is the start of our DIS Short Study Tour Week. Each DIS student’s core course will travel this week to some locations relatively close to Copenhagen and visit various sites as part of a field study. For my core course of Global Economics, I’ll be traveling to Jutland for three days. The larger peninsula area of Denmark is referred to as Jutland for the way its juts out into Northern Europe.

ImageOur group will be visiting the cities of Esbjerg and Skanderborg (Skanderborg is located above Horsen). In these cities we’ll pay a visit to several companies and a few landmarks. I’m mostly looking forward to our tour of Danish Crown- the largest pork-processing company in Europe. But what I’m really excited about is going CURLING tomorrow night!!!

ImageMe by the end of tomorrow.

I don’t know much about the sport, but I plan on learning some basic technique and rules. It’s something I’d never do at home so I consider it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. : ) I’m looking forward to sharing stories and photos of my experiences once I’m back in CPH! Please let me know if you have any questions about my time here thus far.

Liza this was really interesting since we used to raise pigs. I’ve held those little ones many times. Love to follow your blog!
