Situated within the stunning Chatsworth estate, surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley is everything you would expect from a traditional, stone built inn, in a picturesque little Peak District village. Wine & Dine

Not surprisingly, many of the delicious meals at The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley are prepared using ingredients from the Chatsworth House Farm Shop, which is just a five-minute walk away, so you can stock up on your own goods before you head home. The chefs also pride themselves on using other local suppliers wherever possible to source meats, seafood, herbs, wines, and ales, resulting in a menu full of mouth-watering flavour, and a fabulous, varied drinks menu!

Breakfast is served each day from 8.00am to 10.00am using produce from local farms – the perfect way to start your day before exploring this fabulous part of the Peak District National Park.

Both the lunchtime and dinner menus include a delicious selection of meals to suit all tastes, from goats cheese pannacotta to roast guinea fowl or good old-fashioned beer-battered fish and chips! A delicious Sunday lunch menu is also available, and make sure you leave room for one of their moreish desserts.

Accommodation

Extend your stay at The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley in one of their thirteen traditionally-styled country inn rooms!

Most of the rooms are located on the first floor. The Petite Rooms are delightful, light and airy doubles, with period features. The Classic Doubles provide a little more room and are elegantly decorated, providing a lovely, relaxing feel. Finally, the Deluxe Rooms are airy and spacious, oozing rustic charm. They include a desk for anyone who needs to catch up on paperwork while away.

Just a short walk from the main Inn are the exquisite Four Poster Farmhouse Rooms. Each of these spacious rooms has been uniquely designed by Chatsworth’s Duchess of Devonshire, and provide a real bit of luxury. Most of these rooms also have a sofa, and they’re dog-friendly too!

Location

Pilsley is a delightful village within the Chatsworth Estate, just a five-minute walk to the famous Chatsworth Farm Shop and less than two miles to Chatsworth House itself with its fabulous gardens and deer park. The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley is in the heart of the village, with walks from the door to the nearby villages of Edensor, Beeley, Baslow and many more, making it the perfect base to explore this popular area of the Peak District National Park, and the ideal place to stop for refreshments.

Just three miles away you will find the market town of Bakewell, with independent shops, cafes and pubs, and picturesque walks along the River Wye. For those who fancy a little cycling, head for Hassop Cycle Hire and enjoy miles of traffic-free paths on the Monsal Trail, which is only two miles away.
