DESCRIPTION

Deuterocohnia >brevifolia, commonly known as the "Argentina Ball," is a fascinating and rare succulent that adds a touch of exotic allure to any plant collection. This distinctive plant forms dense, spherical clusters of tiny rosettes, each comprised of tightly packed, triangular leaves. The leaves are a deep, vibrant green, often with a subtle hint of gray or blue, and are covered in fine, white hairs that give the plant a soft, velvety texture.

Originating from the rocky terrains of Argentina and Bolivia, D. brevifolia is well-adapted to harsh, arid environments. This makes it a superb choice for succulent enthusiasts looking for a low-maintenance and drought-tolerant plant. It thrives in well-draining soil and prefers bright, indirect sunlight, but can also tolerate partial shade.

One of the most striking features of the "Argentina Ball" is its growth habit. The plant slowly forms offsets, gradually expanding into larger, cushion-like clusters that can create a stunning visual impact in any setting. This growth pattern makes it an excellent choice for rock gardens, terrariums, or as a standalone specimen in a succulent display.

In the spring, D. brevifolia produces small, yellow or white flowers, adding an extra layer of charm to its already intriguing appearance. These flowers emerge on short stalks from between the leaves, creating a delightful contrast against the dense foliage.

PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
